![]() The other day I noticed a posting on Facebook by David Presley. That brought back a memory (one of hundreds) from the 2009 Europe trip we took that David was on.
Without going into details, let's just say we named a new safety procedure after David called "The Presley Protocol." So when I saw his posting, I had to reply with this photo of David taken on a high-speed train as we were traveling from Amsterdam to Paris. It was in Paris on the third or fourth day of the trip that the Presley Protocol was invented. David replied to my posting by commenting, "Trip of a lifetime, I'll never forget it." Three weeks from today another set of boys (17) will be taking their trip of a lifetime as we head back to Europe for 20 days traveling wherever the guys decide to go via train using Eurail passes. (Actually, five of these boys were on the 2009 trips so they're having two trips of a lifetime! Parents and kids have already started asking when will we go again. And that has been decided - July 2015. Several parents have already added their sons to the "no application, no deposit, no commitment, save-me-a-spot maybe" list. That guarantees them a spot should they want to go when actual sign-ups start. Interested in more info. Click to go to the info on this website.

Mark LevinI never imagined that when I started taking kids on travel trips in 1978 that I would still be taking trips today! It has been a great ride and I'm looking forward to more. Archives
