2022 MindStretch Travel Adventures Application
Europe by Eurail
June 12 - July 1, 2022
20 Amazing Days
Enrollment Update:
This trip is currently full. There is a chance a space or two might open up. We're monitoring the Covid situation and are planning on being in Europe in June. However, so much will depend on travel restrictions out of our control. If we are not able to take this trip this summer, we will try again in 2023. If you're interested either contact the director or fill out the application and submit. A deposit will not be due until your son has been accepted.

Questions or comments, email the director at columbusmark@gmail.com or use the contact page form.
Complete this application section and use the "submit" button to start the adventure. You will be billed the deposit of $300 (non-refundable) the end of July and it will be due by August 16, 2021. No additional fees will be due until January 2022 with one exception. It is possible that Eurail might offer us an incentive to purchase passes early. If we do receive and accept an offer, you will be asked to cover that part of the trip fee that will cover the pass. These passes are normally refundable if they are returned before being validated and they are validated for the first date we put them into use.

Fees: Please read the notes page, 2022 Extra Notes, for a better understanding of the trip fee as well as information related to situations that everyone needs to be aware of.
Please note that on August 9, 2021, we made the decision that all participants must be fully vaccinated against Covid in ample time ahead of departure.
The fee is $5,550.
Fee includes all lodging, all meals, some snacks, all activities, all equipment rentals, all guide fees, all local transportation, reservation fees, all gratuities, and a first-class Eurail pass. Airfare is not included. Fee is based on having a minimum of 12 students. Maximum enrollment is 20 students. Make sure you read the "Extra Notes Page" for more information on the fee.
For more general information about our programs, check out the Frequently Asked Questions page.
This adventure will most likely leave from the Charlotte Airport. If we can arrange an add-on flight from Greenville-Spartanburg at a reasonable rate, we will.
Basically, a boy only needs spending money for souvenirs and excess snacks. Please read the 2022 Extra Notes page carefully before submitting this online application.
Deposit: The deposit is $300 and is non-refundable. That amount will include the deposit for the air travel. A payment will be billed in January 2022 and the balance is due in March 2022. Please see note above regarding the possibility that you will be billed early for the cost of the Eurail pass if we are given a good offer. Due to the small size of our program, there is no refund of any of the trip fee after March 1, 2022 if your son cancels. Some of the fee might be forfeited even for cancellation prior to March 1, 2022 if the program can't recover deposits and payments made on behalf of the traveler. Parents might want to look into trip insurance that can cover the cost of the trip if your son has to cancel. Trip insurance generally has to be purchased within in a set number of days of paying the deposit. Please note that trip insurance generally does not cover "pandemics." Make sure you read the "extra notes page" for additional information.
